The Isotope Biogeochemistry lab is dedicated to studying present and past biogeochemical cycles driving Earth’s energy fluxes and climate feedback mechanisms.
We use organic and inorganic geochemical techniques with a focus on isotope techniques to tackle pressing research questions. Our main interests include microbial processes and transformations in the water column and sediments, ocean deoxygenation, land-ocean interactions, permafrost-carbon feedback mechanisms, anthropogenic perturbation, and proxy/method development.

The IBG lab is located at the Institute for Marine Sciences on the campus of the University of Québec in Rimouski, adjacent to the St-Lawrence Estuary in Canada.
